Located in the picturesque gated and secluded Shagbark resort, this 3 bed, 2.5 bath has been updated to fit the modern family’s needs. Brand new furniture, smart TVs, arcade games and kitchen items!

This wears valley resort is however just short drive to Pigeon Forge and 17 miles to Gatlinburg. Relax on the large outdoor deck with outdoor dining, hot tub and grill. There are 2 large master bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms and a loft with arcade games perfect for a group of 6.

Alamo Steakhouse

This place is the one to go for a delicious steak! Good prices, great atmosphere, and relatively close to the cabin. They also have scrumptious green salads. Good for kids and groups. Highly recommend!

 


Gaucho Urbano

This restaurant is an experience! Great salad bar, excellent service, and tasty, unlimited food. Brazilian meats include sirloin, sausage, teriyaki chicken, spare ribs, and more! Open on many holidays, including Thanksgiving!

 

Graze Burgers

Great burgers made with locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients! It’s a charming place away from all the hustle and bustle. There is an outdoor patio and sometimes live music. Only nine miles from the cabin.

 

Applewood Restaurant

This restaurant is a must-see and do! Try their complimentary apple fritters, fried chicken, chicken & dumplings, and complimentary apple julep! Farmhouse Grill serves three-course meals (fritters, soup, and entree) whereas the Farmhouse Restaurant offers slightly pricier five-course meals (fritters, soup, salad, entree with a side, and dessert).

 

Paw Paw’s Catfish Kitchen

Try their crab cakes, red beans & rice, fried catfish, and then some fried pudding! NOTE: the restaurant is only open Thu- Sat.

 

The Apple Barn

Order the cabin pack from the Apple Barn! You just call & it’s ready in 15 minutes for pickup! Feeds 4/6 ppl. Choose one main dish like fried chicken, two sides such as apple fritters, apple butter, or banana pudding. Or you can eat in!

 

Sunliner Diner

Sunliner Diner has a 50s theme, burgers, and crazy ice cream sundaes. Try their candied bacon, classic banana split, and chicken and waffles. A fun place to try for the whole family.

 


Bullfish Grill

You will find the bull fish grill which has delicious fresh seafood, filet mignon, cilantro lime grilled shrimp, and a wedge salad.

 


Holston’s Kitchen

Holston’s has a nice atmosphere, great wings, and excellent margaritas! The ambience is family friendly and you can enjoy a turkey club, a country fried steak, or an orange soak cake.

 


Aubrey’s Restaurant

Try the salmon tacos, Rockefeller pizza appetizer, or tuna fillet sandwich grilled perfectly. The service is outstanding and very friendly.

 


Calhoun’s

There’s a location in pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This restaurant has great barbecue. Try the Al’s steak, hickory smoked prime rib, or ribs! Expect a line, though!

 


Preacher’s Smokehouse

This smokehouse has great barbecue, yummy pulled pork sandwiches, and burnt ends. Good food, cheap prices, and a cozy atmosphere!

 

Local Goat

This place is great for large groups, and it has delicious food. Try the salmon, the Tennessee Whiskey Burger, or the ribs. The fried deviled eggs are a must! Make reservations ahead of time.

 


Lil’ Black Bear Cafe

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge’s Parkway lies the Lil’ Black Bear Cafe. Family owned and operated, this diner offers a selection of homemade breakfast foods, sandwiches, subs, and a variety of seasonal soups and desserts.

 


JT Hannah’s Kitchen

This restaurant features great burgers and salads. They also have a great ribeye! Good service and good ambiance but not too fancy. Dairy-free and gluten-free options available. They do not accept reservations.

 


Cherokee Grill

Wonderful steak, great salad bar, and scrumptious spinach mac ‘n cheese. Upscale mountain lodge atmosphere. Located thirteen miles from the cabin. Call for reservations. Open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

 


Peddler Steakhouse

Wonderful steak, smoked oysters, bacon, and a generous salad bar! There are romantic views of the river too. Highly recommend. Request a table by the creek if you’re celebrating a special occasion. Romantic!

 


Loco Burro Fresh Mex Cantina

If you like a nice view and the ability to people watch, the rooftop at this restaurant might be the place for you. They have world-famous fajitas and margaritas that you can enjoy on the rooftop. Home to Gatlinburg’s only rooftop bar!

 


The Melting Pot

This unique dining experience offers cheese fondue and dessert fondue. They offer a variety of options while making your dining experience fun and easy. Make reservations ahead of time, and if you have a special event, let them know. They might do something special for you!

 


Greenbrier Restaurant

Casual fine dining at its best. Try their steak, wedge salad, or stuffed shrimp. They even have a lovely sorbet palate cleanser between courses! Tell them if you’re celebrating a special occasion and they’ll do something special for you! Make reservations for the best experience.

 


Big Daddy’s Pizzeria

At the heart of Big Daddy’s is a 550 degree, wood-fired flame inside of a one-of-a-kind brick oven. Handcrafted, homemade dough topped with homemade sauces, fresh ingredients, and a deliciously crispy crust. There isn’t a freezer on the premises! Try the Big Daddy Pizza, Dough Daddies, or the Big Kahuna!

Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster

Ride this mountain roller coaster day or night and feel the thrill! Located only two miles from the cabin. Check the Groupon app to save some cash, and don’t forget to check out the cute bakery right across the road!

 


Climb Works Smoky Mountain

Featuring 9 ziplines, this exhilarating tour will give you 2 hours of thrills and majestic nature sights. Far from all the modern comforts, this treetop journey highlights Gatlinburg’s wild wonders, including forested landscapes, streams and ravines. Located in Gatlinburg.

 


Rocky Top Mountain Coaster

Another great mountain coaster option and one of the cheaper things to do in Pigeon Forge is Rocky Top Mountain Coaster, featuring the longest coaster in East Tennessee. Adult tickets start at $18 per ride with a second ride for half the price. Kids ages 3-6 are only $5 and youth ages 7-12 are just $14. Try it at night!

Bluff Mountain Adventures offers guided ATV trail rides on 6,000 acres of Smoky Mountain trails that explore the foothills of East Tennessee. You’ll cross streams, climb the mountain, cover rugged terrain, and experience spectacular views.

 


Wears Valley Zipline Adventures

This place features over 1.5 miles of zip lines, some of the longest and highest ziplines in the region. Gorgeous views of Mt. LeConte and the Great Smoky Mountains. Located two miles from the cabin. Received the travelers Choice Award on TripAdvisor in 2021.

Gatlinburg Sky Lift

Good food, live music, and karaoke. Locations in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The Pigeon Forge location is 4 miles from the cabin. The Gatlinburg location is 16 miles from the cabin. Check online for daily music calendar.

 

Cotton Eyed Joe

Located in Knoxville, but if you want to hear live honky tonk music, this is as close as you can get. Dance lessons, mechanical bull, live concerts, food, and more!

 

Ole Red

Hello, redneck nachos and chicken wings! Great live music throughout the day and every day. Check the calendar! No cover charge. Located in Gatlinburg.

 


Puckett’s

Puckett’s Southern food will leave you wanting more. Try their chicken fried steak, pulled pork, or cherry-smoked wings. They have live music on Thursday nights, Friday nights, and Saturday nights.

The Lost Sea Adventure

America’s Largest Underground Lake, the Lost Sea is a Registered National Landmark as well as a Civil War Trail Marker and America’s Largest Underground Lake. Tours through the cavern include a boat ride on the Lost Sea and take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Listed in the Guinness Book of Records!

Foothills Parkway

The Foothills Parkway is a national parkway that traverses the foothills of the northern Great Smoky Mountains . The 72.1-mile parkway offers unobstructed views of the Smokies to the south and the Tennessee Valley to the north. Breathtaking views with multiple overlooks to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook

A quick and easy drive to some of the best winter views, visit the Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook that offers panoramic views of the city and the mountains. It’s one of the top places to go if you’re hoping to see the Smokies covered in white.

 


Clingman’s Dome

The highest point in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is Clingman’s Dome. The road to Clingman’s Dome is closed in the winter, but in the Spring, Summer and Fall, the spot offers amazing views of the Smokies and beyond. From the Clingman’s Dome parking area, you can take in breathtaking vistas, showing off the North Carolina side of the park.

 


Tail of the Dragon

This road is bordered by the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cherokee National Forest with no intersecting roads or driveways. It is considered “the destination” for motorcycle and sports car fans throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Be cautious as the turns are tight, but the Tail of the Dragon will be the ride of your life.

 


Briarwood Ranch Safari Park

This Safari is a Scenic drive through of beautiful lands & pastures! You can either drive your car through & take your time to study the animals & take photos or ride the tractor pull wagon ride! You will see Animals from 6 Continents! They also offer a Store, picnic area, petting zoo, & restrooms! Remember wagon ride is by Appointment only!

Metcalf Bottoms

Ten miles from the cabin, you can enjoy this easy 1.50 mile, out and back trail near Gatlinburg. It takes an average of 44 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, trail running, and walking. Open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

 


Alum Cave

This 4.5 round-trip hike will pass through Arch Rock. You will have gorgeous views of Anakeesta Ridge! You’ll love Inspiration Point, which offers beautiful snowy views during the winter. During the winter, you can see large icicles hanging from the ledges!

 


Courthouse Rock Trail

Try this 2.30 mile, out-and-back trail near Gatlinburg. This moderately challenging route takes an average of 1h30 min to complete. The best times to visit this trail are March through October.

 


Laurel Falls

This beautiful 2.3-mile round trip trail takes visitors to the stunning multi-tiered waterfall, an excellent place to see lovely ice formations during the winter season. The aging pavement of the falls trail is rough and broken so it can be rough for wheelchairs and strollers. Due to this and the moderately steep to very steep grade, it is not marked as wheelchair or stroller friendly.

 


Cataract Falls

This hidden gem is only ¾ of a mile long. The paved trail turns to gravel. Kids will love the bridges that crosses Fighting Creek, which runs alongside the trail. Hikers will see Cataract Falls, a 20′ waterfall!

 


Baskins Creek Falls

With a roundtrip length of only 3 miles, Baskins Creek Falls is a fun, easy hike for families! You’ll have amazing mountain views. You’ll come to a footbridge crossing Falls Branch, and at 1.1 miles you can take a side trail to Baskins Cemetery, a great historical site.

 


Porters Creek Trail

This relatively flat hike features beautiful wildflowers, two hand bridges, a river, plenty of historical remnants, and even a waterfall at the end! The roundtrip of this hike is only 4 miles.

 


Rainbow Falls

Just outside of Gatlinburg in the Orchard Creek area, the Rainbow Falls trail is one of the most popular routes to Mt. LeConte. By hiking 2.7 miles on this trail, you can reach Rainbow Falls, an 80-ft tall waterfall that’s known for forming large icicles.

Hatfield & McCoy

Whether you’re city-folk or country cousins, you’ll love the singin’ and dancin’, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. You’ll watch divin’ Hillbillies and divin’ dogs, – in their brand new swimmin’ hole! Food is pretty good too!

 


Dolly Parton’s Stampede

Dolly Parton’s Stampede is filled with thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions plus a mouth-watering four-course feast. Remember, the excitement begins before you even set foot in the door!

 


Pirate’s Voyage

This show is on deck, in water and high above a full-sized pirate ship in an indoor hideaway lagoon! Be amazed by beautiful mermaids, tropical birds, acrobatics, and pyrotechnics all while you enjoy a fabulous four-course feast.

Our one of a kind theater offers comedy murder mystery shows with a delicious three course meal. They offer 3 different shows rotated throughout the week. Great for the whole family or perfect for a date night with your special someone! Participation is encouraged but not required.

By accepting the booking, you agree and accept the following:

  • You are an adult over the age of 25 and the number in your group is not more than 6
  • Check-in time is after 4:00 PM. Check out is 10:00 AM. There are penalties for overstaying beyond this time.
  • Upon booking, we will ask for your information and number of vehicles to register you with the resort community. This is submitted to the gate security to ensure access.
  • We hold your card for $600 as a refundable security deposit. If it is returned if house rules are followed and home is returned in good condition.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside or outside of the property. Deposit to be processed by Host on Guest’s Credit Card. You will lose the full deposit for any smell or evidence of smoking indoors.
  • You agree to review, sign and return our vacation rental agreement within 48 hours of booking. This will be emailed to you upon booking. It is sent by our 3rd party system. Booking will be cancelled if not signed within this time frame.
  • Parking onsite is available allowing for 2 spaces.
  • Pets are not allowed. Unauthorized pets will result in eviction and $250 non declared pet fee which will be charged to you.
  • There is a ring doorbell camera located on the exterior of the home only. This has both audio and video recording capability.
  • You agree not to disable, tamper or disconnect electronic devices. A fine will be imposed for disconnecting or tampering with wireless router, the ring camera, smart lock or other electronics .
  • We are regularly serviced by a Licensed Pest Control company but please keep in mind that warm weather tends to bring about the occasional critter despite preventative measures. We ask that you please keep the exterior doors closed to avoid entry.
  • WIFI is strong and available but occasionally spotty. Instructions and log in information in the provided owner’s manual. No refunds for internet-related issues.
  • The community amenities (pool, tennis courts, etc) re managed by a 3rd party. Guests are free to use but at your own risk. We have no control over closings, limited availability for repairs and other related matters.
  • A grill is located on the deck. Please clean before (if needed) and after use.
  • We want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The best way to reach us is through the Airbnb messaging feature on the Airbnb platform between the hours of 9am-7pm.
  • CRITTERS/WILD LIFE. You will likely encounter critters and other wildlife. This may include bears. They are dangerous. Please do not feed the bears. Make sure your car doors and locked and no food/drinks are left outside.
  • We are regularly serviced by a Licensed Pest Control company but please keep in mind that this is a cabin in the mountains and critters can enter the home despite preventative measures. We ask that you please keep the exterior doors and windows closed at all times to avoid entry.
  • ROADS: The cabin is located near the top of the resort. The road is paved. There are some sharp turns, steep inclines and declines on your way to the cabin. The driveway is not particularly steep and easy to access. We strongly recommend 4WD during the winter.
  • INCLEMENT WEATHER/UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES: Keep an eye on the weather report. No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/COVID, acts of god/other things that are beyond our control.Trip insurance is highly recommended. In case of inclement weather, consider coming prepared with additional food, additional water, appropriate 4WD.
  • WATER SUPPLY: Water comes from our private well which is safe to drink. We recommend however bringing bottled water to drink. Because water supply and pressure can vary, we ask that you be conservative with usage (defer use of the jacuzzi tub, dishwasher and washing machine if water is being used elsewhere in the cabin).
  • The hot tub is for guests 25 and over only. Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK!
  • FIREPLACE: The fireplace is shut down April 1 to October 1 as with every cabin in the area.
  • AMENITIES: A small starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels and dishwashing pods are supplied. You will need to purchase more and your own coffee, propane for the grill as well.

FAQs

When you book with online platforms, you will pay an additional booking fee. Booking with us directly avoids associated fees. 

Use the form on the home page to book. All fees are included in the price. We hold your credit card for an additional $600 security deposit. This is returned if house rules are followed and the home is returned in good condition. A vacation rental agreement is emailed to you within 48 hours of booking. It is sent by our 3rd party system. Booking will be cancelled if not signed within this time frame. 

Guest receives 47% if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival; No refunds within 30 days of arrival or in the event of early departure, late arrival occurs. Guest received 97% of cancelled within 48 hours of booking (100% minus processing fees).
 
As with any travel in the era of the Covid Pandemic, please consider obtaining travel insurance (or whatever suits your personal needs), if a last minute cancellation would be a financial hardship for you. Again, we strongly commend all guests consider obtaining trip insurance in case an unforeseen circumstance occurs that prevents you from traveling.
 

Check-in is at 4 pm.  Check-out is 10 am. 

All information regarding the home to include address, check in door code and other essential information is sent 2 days prior to check in. 

Pets are not allowed. Unauthorized pets will result in eviction and $250 non declared pet fee which will be charged to you.  

Yes, high speed internet is available free of charge. 

A favorite for all travelers is our location. We are located across the street from the beach! 

We supply all linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with bowls, cups, utensils, coffee makers and cookware. 

We offer start up essentials to include a few toilet paper rolls, paper towel, dish soap, shampoo. We recommend heading to the local grocery store to pick up essentials needed for your stay. 

A washer/dryer and dishwasher are in the unit and available during your stay. There are 4 TVs available each with cable and streaming capabilities. We also provide a few beach items in a cabinet outside the home. 

There is a community pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub are managed by a 3rd party. Guests are free to use but at your own risk. We have no control over closings, limited availability for repairs and other related matters. 

Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are available. There is a ring doorbell camera located on the exterior of the home only. This has both audio and video recording capability. 

Yes, 2 parking spaces are available. Please note that these are tight spaces so while cars can fit, we would not recommend large oversized vehicles. A third small car could fit perpendicular behind the other two as long as it doesn’t block the passageway.
